Karachi back to normal

KARACHI: Life in Karachi limped back to normal Wednesday after day of mourning observed by the MQM Tuesday against the killing of his party worker and his brother in PIB Colony area of the city. All educational institutions and markets remained open Wednesday. Rangers on late Tuesday arrested six suspects from different areas of Karachi and moved to unknown place for interrogation. A clash between two groups took place in C-1 Area Liaquatabad, triggering tension in the region.

Rangers to reach the place, took control of the area and launched search. Sources said that three suspects have been apprehended during the operation. The exchange of firing between the two groups was also reported in Angara Goth area Liaquatabad.Meanwhile; Rangers also detained three activists of a political party from Abul Hassan Isfahan Road area of ​​Gulshan e Iqbal. Sources said the weapons were also recovered from their possession. Earlier Tuesday was MQM Sector Member Mansoor Mukhtar, his brother Mukhtar Masood and his sister in law targeted whenattackers walked into their house and opened fire. Mansoor Masood and succumbed to their injuries in hospital. The post mortem of Mansoor was leading at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and according to doctors, he was shot four times. More than three dozen vehicles including a police mobile was burned in various fields, including Malir Halt, Central Jail, Teen Hatti,Kala Board, Abul Hassan Isphani Road and Shah Faisal Colony.
